Red Lily Beetle
« on: October 26, 2006, 18:57:07 »
Does winter kill them or do they just snooze ?

I don't suffer from them personally (yet) but a friend's asking.

Cheers.

Hi kp
Adult beetles overwinter in plant debris and coarse vegetation and move into liles and other host plants in May/June. Females lay 200/300 eggs each, on leaves and stems, they hatch about a week later and feed for a month before going to the soil to pupate in earthern cells.
Off work for a weeks holiday see you next Thursday when i come back.
 Bob

Thanks Lorna, will enjoy holiday, rigging electrics to the greenhouse and weather permitting get some winter digging done,

i always go for the easy option first Bob lol  i've posted the rest of the article to my mate lmao.

the entourage swept in about 4pm i think, they were "delayed" in town by a group of well wishers which followed them to our place  :P  your blokes were scattered all over the place, even a couple of official uniforms over the back in the warehouses.

i've never seen the office look so clean, not a file out of place.  lol

good luck with the interview.  is that for our place ??
