solar powered fan
« on: October 16, 2006, 17:27:15 »
Is there such a thing as a solar powered fan, I know we won't need one yet but am thinking of next year in the poly, it got so hot in there, even with both doors open and damping down, high 90's some days, seems like a good idea to me, anyone seen one ?

shouldn't be to hard to make you can buy twelve volt panels from ebay and twelve volt fans from car accessory shops or maybe caravan accessory shops

thinking of doing a solar operated irrigation system works slightly differently though using storage batteries and a time switch

i will see what i can dig up ;)

Don't forget sailing suppliers.  Use to have a great wind generator which powered 3amps per hour.  Managed to run a tv from it without a transformer!  Mind you, it was 3ft diameter, need to make sure it was well above head height.   :o  So, yes, definitely possible.   :)
