Rest in Peace Kylie Custard
« on: October 11, 2006, 15:11:25 »
Before my Mum passed away in 2002, I promised her I would take care of her cat Kylie (often called Kylie Custard) and she became part of our family.   Today, however, I had to take Kylie to the vet as she had begun having difficulty in walking and her ear was inflamed where she scratched at it.  The vet found a large, quick growing tumour at the back of her neck and said the kindest thing would be to put her to sleep.  :'( :'( :'(

Kylie was over 16 years old, but her end was very peaceful and I was with her.  I brought her home and we will bury her in the garden.

Aww, Pauline, she was such a sweetie and I know you are going to miss her dreadfully.  Such a sad loss.  I shed a tear as I read your post because the same thing happened to my Fletcher (17) 13 months back. But as you say, it's a peaceful end and the kindest thing you could ever do for them.  I hope you can take some comfort in that.

Love and hugs.

I can only imagine how hard it is to lose one of your cats. I was little when the family cat died, so do not remember it very well. My thoughts are with you..

I'm so sorry to hear about Kylie your beautiful cat. You have done what your mom would have wanted. At least with our pets we can give them a dignified end to their lives. Bless you x
