A4A ORCHESTRA
« on: October 10, 2006, 08:35:33 »
Reading through some of the posts on here has given me the impression that there are a few musicians on the site.

We should be able to form an orchestra. So come on what do you play?

I will start it off as I can play a really wicked triangle.

plus banjo

and melodeon

 concertina

guitar

jews harp

harmonica

tamborine

bodhran

bones

drums

Also I can blow my own trumpet ;D but we will need a lot more. Don't worry
girls if you can't play. We will also need a line up of The Merry Tiller Girls.

We can offer baritone sax, violin, 2 french horns, drums, double bass and vocals if needed.  The fiddle and one of the horns might be a bit too good but my sax playing will definitely be of the standard sure to be required ;D.

Only accordion for me, and not very well given I don't practise enough...
I wonder how many other sqeeze box players there are lurking?

Have been known to sing a few notes as well.

I play mandolin (& guitar, but much less well). After not really playing much for a few years while the kids were small, have started again this year - practise every day and getting together with a couple of other people to play.

Fave uncle gave us children recorders one Christmas. Best present ever. Mum gave us a penny each not to play them in the day & Dad gave us another penny not to play them at night. Could buy a lot of aniseed balls for tuppence, those days ;D
