Insulation
« on: September 18, 2006, 08:40:43 »
Just thinking about bubble wrapping the g/hs and looking at the wee plastic clips to hold it in place.

Question, do i need spacers to provide an extra 1" of space between the b/w and the glass or can I just get away with the regular ones ?

and why ?

cheers muchly as always and apologies if the urls make the screen too wide.

a space is usually required so that air can circulate and really cold air isn't trapped, i.e. making the bubble wrap next to useless, so personally I think the spacers are best - but it really depends on whether and why you really need to insulate further - a good idea is a min/max thermometer and be ready to fleece anything that really needs it by watching the weather forecast

they've got to be the longest urls I've ever seen, my screen stretched into next week  ;D

Mrs KP,

Whilst I can't help you with the greenhouse query I can point you in this direction regarding the long URLs.

This site shortens loooong URLs and prevents 'blowouts', if you'll parden the expression!!

Well worth bookmarking for future use.

Better insulation with the extended spacer.
