Horse manure
« on: April 07, 2004, 09:28:26 »
Recently I have been  in delivery of  Horse manure mixed with wood shavings/chippings , some of the blokes in this allotment  seem not too enthusiastic about this manure , yet  , so far , my Garlic  is thriving   ;)...............  I just make up a pile of this stuff, mixed up with soil and water , and within days  it heats up  ........ seems ok to me !

The only objection is that shavings take a lot longer to compost than straw. = Tim
