Heaviest Pumpkin Category - 2006
This thread is for the weigh-in of the heaviest pumpkin. Here are a few rules:

1. The heaviest pumpkin is the winner and it's grower will receive a small prize.
2. The pumpkin you enter must have been grown and cared for by you.
3. You are allowed to enter a pumpkin on behalf of your child or grandchild.
4. The pumpkin must be photographed and the picture posted on this thread together with weight information.
5. This is a light-hearted competition and we are relying on 100% honesty, so no cheating!
6. Even if you don't think you'll win, please post a photo and the weight of your pumpkin, we'd all like to see everyone's efforts.
7. You can enter for the Pumpkin Carving category (see other thread) but you cannot enter the same pumpkin for both Heaviest (this thread) and Biggest (see other thread) pumpkin categories. You can enter different pumpkins for each category.
8. Closing date: 31st October 2006

Good luck everyone :D

This is my second year growing pumpkins and my first with 'Atlantic Giant'.  I selected one fruit to develop and here is the result:

Circumference:   2m 29.5cm

Weight:   97kgs 150g

The baby is called Ryan and he is 3 weeks old.

I was lucky enough to find somebody with big scales.

OH has access to a weighbridge, works in a hospital... used to weigh patients over 20 stone. Haven't had to trouble them yet, maybe next year!

Rhys.
Which category do you wish to enter this pumpkin in, the Biggest or the heaviest but not both with the same pumpkin.

Either one it will possible win. Very impressive.   ;)
 P.s
Ryan is very cute. Well done with both.

Those are some large pumpkins but did you know that the record Atlantic Giant was a whopping 450Kg that must have been some monster pumkin.
