When is marmalade not marmalade
« on: August 31, 2006, 11:01:39 »
When it's a jelly??

I've been really pleased with the couple of batches of jelly I've made recently (Crab apple, and Bramble) and I was wondering if I could do the same thing with citrus fruits. I was thinking along the lines of lemon/lime.

Has anyone got a recipe or suggestions. Would the rough proportion of sugar be the same - 450g per pint of liquid?

Thanks in advance  :)

Hi Moggie,
Yum, homemade marmalade is the best! I made seville orange marmalade using this recipe:
http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/traditional-seville-orange-marmalade,1223,RC.html

She has the amounts, looks like 2:1 sugar:fruit

Heaven! So worth it. Unfortunately everyone has eaten it by now.  :'(
This year it's squash.
