Do you do that with the overwintering variety too?
I'm trying a number of different ways biscombe - to date, have sown overwintering varieies six to a module, then planted out the whole clump 9" apart. Will sow direct in short rows outdoors in the Spring, probably on home made seed tape, and also try the seed tray method. Am looking for the least faffy/most effective method too ::)
When do you put them in the ground?
I have my packet of seeds, sow in trays now when do I plant out??
when they are large enough to handle, transplant them out into the onion bed.
These are large enough to go out
