Jumbo Pink Banana - DP HELP!!!
« on: August 21, 2006, 15:53:24 »
If Doris Pinks reads this - what pumpkin / squash did you grow lasy year? I'm trying to figure out the parentage of some of the self-saved Jumbo Pink Banana seed you gave me. :P

So far...the biggest one is the size of a large beachball + looking more like a jumbo pink harlequin!

If anyone overheard me down there just now they must have thought I was a loon, everytime a moved a leaf I found a fruit (not just the JPB) that looked nothing like anything I'd sown. Had me in stitches. ;D

Please let me know, I'd love to do some sleuthing

D

Hi Diana, sorry haven't replied earlier, trying to move house!! :o

Errrrmmmmmm  last year I grew, loads!!!

Diana, it could have any cross parentage!!
Do take pics, would be interested to see what you have ended up with, sound like fun,  we could have created a new and wonderful squash ;D
Could call it Diana Pinks!  ;D
We don't inherit the earth, we only borrow it from our children.
