More butterflies
« on: August 09, 2006, 17:36:44 »
This has been the best year ever for butterflies in my garden and I like to think that all those years of organic/wildlife gardening have finally paid off.  I've had holly blues, peacocks, commas and painted ladies as well as the large and small whites.  Then today, at last, I had a red admiral.   ;D  Even managed to get a couple of pics and the paited lady seemed to be posing so I took one of her (or him?)  too.  G x

Aww thanks Eric, if only they'd arrive on less windy days eh?   ;)

Indeed Tim, although up until this year I was threatening to dig it up as it wasn't working.  It must have heard me!

The huge buddleia at the bottom of our garden was simply alive with butterflies today. I'm still waiting for my new battery to arrive or I'd have tried to post some photos. Love your photos G!
