Thank you for the Dance Lorna, I have just been in the garden with my book and bikini tempting the clouds to give me a good soaking but they are not taking the hint!

Thank goodness there is not a hose pipe ban here ....

YEs! Rain stopped play. We had chicken korma stir fry instead. But it's great to have wind and rain and coolness. Mmmmmm. :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

On the other hand the whole garden is still parched, the grass is brown, the goldfish have developed a dry, hacking cough and I'm not even going to talk about the lottie. ;)

Off topic and talking of goldfish, couldn't resist taking a pic of this menu on hols recently. Click on pic and read 2nd choice under pescado.

Needless to say I had the vegetarian option. ;D

Goldfish are a sort of ornamental carp, and the normal ones used to be farmed in medieval times. So they should be good to eat, though they're a bit small. If it strictly is goldfish, of course, and not standard carp!

We had a bit of drizzle this afternoon; it perks things up, but one dry day and it's back to square one.

It has rained so hard here over night and this morning that most of my flowers have either been beheaded or flattened  :'(

There may have been another shower last night, but I'm not sure; if it did, it's had time to dry up. Hopefully it should rain again today. But everything's still parched.
