Love the little helper - it just fills me up to think what happy memories he'll have when he's older ;D

most of it was started off in the greenhouse, so i had a head start in getting things in the ground. all the brassicas were under netting with weed fabric (luv the stuff) so they didn't need a lot of attention.
there's still a bit to clear, and a million things i'd like to do if i had the money or a big van!! but all things come to those who wait....and i'm not giving my plot up even if i won the lottery. it must be the cheapest form of exercise/ therapy there is, but i do wish i could have my fingernails back and my callouses gone. :)

weedbusta. Crikey, to me you have done the impossible. What a big difference. I am glad to see the "supervisor" is inspecting the produce.. You must be so pleased all your hard work has just turned the allotment round in such a short time. Brilliant!!

Thats it start them young......................kids that is :)
I don't mind my grandkids having a bit of fruit either, as I see it it is educational. At least they know it comes from a plant rather than the supermarket shelf.
As it happens we have a batch of under priveledged kids coming to our plots on the 27th of this month.
A batch of them came two or three years ago and you should have seen the look of amazement on some of their faces when they saw potatoes being dug up from from the soil.
I ask you 'potatoes' one of the most common of vegetables and they didn't have a clue.
Incidently these kids were between 8-10 years of age.
