« on: June 21, 2006, 15:48:59 »
Just bought a plant from my local WI, has anyone got any tips for siting the plant and caring for it?  I googled it but mostly go info on herbal remedies.

Cheers

There are a fair number of species etc., but they all like sunny positions in well drained fertile soil. None of them are that hard to grow.
Gardening is the great leveller.

Unless you grow a variety called 'White Swan' that  is, especialt from seed. I have had little sucess with this vairety. One not very vigourous plant from a packet of seed.

The basic species and its cultivars are OK though. I have even sucessfully lifted and divided one - against common advice that they dont like it.
