Wild Garlic

I have tried several occassions to grow wild garlic from seed, Usual story plant in seperate modules and wait

and wait


and errrr wait !!!

any good ideas for germination or anything ?

carl-later on in the year if you send me a pm to remind me i will send you a clump of ours-we got plenty!-but i dont think its really the right time to transplant is it?
if someones says different i will happily send you some now!

Hi Kitty, I too am after some wild garlic and another member has said he will send me some now. Would it be much of an imposition to ask for you to send me some later in the year. I can PM you with my address details and I will reinburse you with the postage costs. Thanks in advance.

lazydaisy-happy to send both you and carl some in..say-september?but pm me in august to remind me-i have a memory like a sieve!

if someonmes sending you it now ld it'd be a good idea to water it a lot for quite a while-it will have more chance of it surviving!

Can you tell me how you will be using the wild garlic in the kitchen?  I have it growing up through a gravel path!

well.....oersonally i dont use it in the kitchen-it was already growing here when we moved in but i think you could use it as you would chives-snipped up as a garnish and in mayo.....

If you use the leaves it gives a mild garlicky taste. I haven't tried the roots as I've only used the wild stuff when I've been camping.
