Acorn Bank House

Lovely place to spend some time. Near Penrith, off the A66. National Trust.

It has a water mill as well as lovely gardens and even a handful of chooks! 

The little formal pond has lots of newts and for the first time ever I saw dragonfly larvae....loads of them,they are pretty scary looking  :o  ;D

Great photos!   I think dragonfly larvae look like mosters!  I would be scared if I were a little fishy!

looks like a very nice place to visit
must go sometime there's a fishing shop that mr gw likes in penrith
