Drought order ?
« on: May 15, 2006, 19:21:43 »
Hi, I live in the Sutton & East Surrey water area who have now obtained a drought order.
I have looked at the website and as far as I can see, we can still water using taps and water butts (would not have used a hose anyway!).
Do you think we will still be able to use the taps on site as the rain in the water butts is not much at all, here is the link to what the water site says... would be glad of your opinions

Watering from a tap is still permissable.

It looks to me as if it's permissible to fill your water butt/s from the site tap, including with a hose, then use the butt/s conveniently located for hand watering :P

Thanks for looking for me, we are trying to collect as much rain water as possible, but we need it to rain to do that, and we've had very little of that.
