Got me a cold frame
« on: March 23, 2004, 22:30:49 »
Well, as the title suggests, I have a new addition to my propogating family.  Chap over the road is selling up and moving on and in the process of clearing his garden he had carefully taken up his coldframe to take to the dump.  Why he had taken it up so carefully when he was just going to dump it I guess we will never know.  Ava, bless him, got in there and the kind man gave it to us, along with a dozen full sized seed trays and 8 half sizers, some netting, and a new dining room table! Now, where to site a cold frame  ???  Hoorah for good neighbours!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Nice one EJ, I wish some of my neighbours would move and give me stuff, then I wouldn't have to embarrass Mrs jammyd buy raiding skips etc...  ;D

Ava is good at that.  He arrived home from work last night with 4 fold up chairs for the lottie, and a pile of metal grid like cage kinda stuff - ideal for making pigeon proof cabbage cages or fruit cages.   Only think is, with that lot, the cold frame and the shed pieces, the side of the house is begining to look like a builders merchants!   :o

Great news EJ.

Your going to have one of the best equipment- stocked lotties for miles around at this rate.  ;D

A new dining room table to boot, can't be bad.  :P

Ava, I could do with you around here as Ian hates me raiding skips. He pretends he's not with me - you think I was stealing the way he acts - not re-cycling!

Eileen.
