net curtains
« on: April 30, 2006, 22:44:49 »
I want to use net curtains to cover my brassica and carrot seedlings. The holes of the netting are 2mm wide. Is this small enough to keep out carrot fly and flea beetles?

Might be, but they are really small - I have used fine net curtain before with some success.

It didn't work  :(. The little blighters were all jumping all over the place. The holes in the net curtain are just too big. Looks like I'll have to invest in some fleece or enviromesh...
