Strawberries
« on: April 29, 2006, 18:55:18 »
Have just started an allotment and my plot has a bed of strawberries that are bearing flowers. Although I have no idea how long they have been there, they are free (which is appealing) and so I have decided to keep em.

Today I have dressed them with well rotted manure, weeded, watered and mulched with straw.

I am wondering what I should "feed" them with. Can I use tomatoe feed or should I use something else?

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Don't lay straw until they are fruiting, or else you will deprive the soil of warmth.
