Long tailed tits
« on: March 29, 2006, 17:36:32 »
We have never had any of these in our garden before, but we have had a pair around for quite some time now. They are such wonderful little birds & I have been watching them being so busy collecting material & building a nest in a neighbours ceanothus. It's not too sad that I'm so excited is it?

No Beejay, you are not sad, just sit down and watch your birds, it is one of the great pleasures in life to take time out and watch them.

I get into real trouble for being distracted by birds on our feeders, then OH pointed out a woodpecker the other day - he's caught the bug too!

It is only a few short weeks the birds are making their nests we have to make the most of it.

Now I've just seen 2 goldfinches, a very rare visitor.  :)
