Mine arrived this morning Tel.

That's the staging done (two screw holes wouldn't align and out of 32 i didn't think that was too bad, and it's secure enough), so this afternoon will be spent, feet up, trying to translate double dutch.

oh and we had hail this morning and now bright sunshine.

wish me luck.  i want to see if i can get the whole thing done before the OH arrives home  ;D

Edited to read:  Having now found the instructions I might "get the whole thing done before the end of the growing season" !!!!!  :o

I'm retiring to bed (I'm not well today), and have a good read before I do anything else.

We've finally started building my 6 x 4' Focus £99 aluminium greenhouse this morning.  Spent a couple of hours on it so far, and have built the gable ends and the sides, so not much more to do for the construction.  Bolts are a bit friable though - OH has sheared 3 so far by giving it just that little bit too much effort tightening them - doesn't know his own strength.  :D

Tomorrow - we finish building and start the glazing.  Why do I have an awful feeling the fun's just beginning?  ::)

If you all built greenhouses out of old window frames you wouldn't have all this bother  ;D

Mind you .. the front of mine fell off the other week ...   :-X  ;D

When I think of the old window frames we disposed of a couple of years ago when we put double glazing into the last house, I could spit!

I do have some double glazing units sitting around the side of the house that are going to become lids for cold frames though.  That should keep the little plants snug.  :D

i'm about to have to do something with the living room window (about 3.5' x 3') where the sealed unit isn't sealed any more.  i'm thinking of putting in french windows for even easier access to the plot  :P

i'm planning now what i can do with the panes although i really am running out of room in the garden but the scavenger in my refuses to throw them away.  good job i've got plenty of room for storage behind the shed.
