Dan

I paid by Pay Pal yesterday and wondered when I would be able to submit pictures please.  My profile still shows Jnr Member instead of pics.  Mind you, I haven't the faintest idea how to go about posting them anyway.

Wardy,  I couldn't find the "additional options facility" anywhere.  Maybe it is only something that appears when Dan gives the agreement.  I have sent a pm to Dan as you suggested.  Thanks for your help.

I guess I must be thick and it will be glaringly obvious to everyone else.  But please can someone explain to me how to insert photos on A4All.

first you need to have the picture online somewhere, if it is on you machine at home then you need to upload it to a website. I think this is what Dan offers for the £10 charge but there are plenty of free webspaces that will hold pictures for you.
One of them is imageshack. http://www.imageshack.us/

if you look on that page you will see a browse button, press that and browse through your machine at home and pick the picture you want to upload.
Once you have picked it click on the button that reads 'host it'
you will see it changes to 'uploading' as it goes.
Once the picture is uploaded you will see a smaller version of it on the screen, click this image and a new window will open with the image inside.
when it opens you can highlight all the text in the address bar, right click on it ans select copy.
Now go to your  A4A window and componse a topic. you can see a little icon on the bars above where you type ot looks like a little landscape with a white frame.
Press the icon and you will see some text that says IMG. This is called a 'tag'. In between the tag the cursor will blink.Simply paste the text you copied from the image in between the tags .I should look like this :

[.img]http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/6452/44d044602mb.jpg[/img.]

(I added dots on the ends to show how the code will look when you post)

after that finish the post as normal and you picture should be available and will appear like so.

there you go its working :)

if someone now clicks on that it will open in a new window.

If you copy the address out of the new window and paste it into the [IMG] tag it will embed(sp?) the picture within the post :D
