LIDL Cloches - tip to avoid breakages...
« on: March 08, 2006, 22:44:21 »
Tips for those of you who bought the LIDL cloches.

Ensure you push the two pipes FULLY into the joining section, else when you bend them to fit the bed, the central joining section breaks, sometimes after a few minutes >:(  luckily I only trashed one, the others in the cloche still usable, and luckily I noticed after just one cloche...

Also don't think you can insert short canes into the pipes to make them slightly longer to fit further into the ground... the pipes snap where the cane ends!!

Luckily I bought quite a few, so one broken joining section and two pipes is not a tragedy, esp. at £3.49!

Snap, that happened to me to, so will be careful when I do put them together as I was just trying one out when that happened.

Like you I bought a few.

Lidl cloches are €4.99 (Euro) in Belgium so looks like I'm saving 2p...phew!
