B&Q seed potatoes
« on: March 18, 2006, 17:03:44 »
My local B&Q is selling their seed potatoes off at 50 pence for a 2.5kg bag. Most are sprouting a bit, but I've had them before and they've grown ok.

Modified to show the varieties I saw:
Maris Piper, Maris Peer, Pentland Javelin, Charlotte and Desiree.

Varieties? If sprouting it shows they are ok and saves chitting. They are cheap enough to eat as well at that price !
The impossible is just a journey away ...

My local B&Q were selling them for 50 pence too.
I wasn't sure if they grow ok but bought 3 bags (and I haven't prepared beds).
I got Pentland Javelin, Maris Peer and Foremost. They had Charlotte and Aran Pilot too.
