B+Q bargain
« on: February 21, 2006, 18:37:07 »
Mooching around B+Q yesterday and looking wistfully at the new sheds when I came upon a lovely little 6'x4' shed that had been dropped by the FLT driver and had developed a couple of cracks. They let me take it off their hands for £60 instead of £99. The driver apparantly dropped 4 and they had all been reduced so it seemed rude not to buy one ;D ;D
Even better the OH paid for it ;)

well done you - good going   :D

question is what are you going to put in it?  ;D

Talking of B&Q bargains, I was talking to a man from the allotments to tell me that they were offering 2x2 sheets of glass for 10p a sheet, usually £5.00.
He bought so much of it as it was 'silly money' that he may have a bit to give away, so fingers crossed, could do with some to make cloches!

Not sure if it was an offer solely in this one branch near us or countrywide, but thought I'd mention it just in case. :)

Will post pictures after we try to build the thing this weekend......that should be fun!
Im my shed I will mainly be having deckchairs, primus, kettle, mugs, tea..............oh and some garden equipment.
Oh thinks Ive flipped, from a girl who loved a bit of jewellry for her birthday to one who is ecstatic at being bought a shed.
He's fed up with hearing about "chitting" as well I think ;D........

Petra, do you have shelving for your shed? The 3' long 4-shelved greenhouse staging I bought from Wilko's for &7.99 is brill & really sturdy.

Petra - dead jealous!  There's a brand spanking new orange shed, complete with guttering and water butt appeared on a plot on my sight.  I can't help but stare and drool each time I see it!   :'(     My OH thinks I've flipped too - I've already told him I want one for my birthday in June.....if I can wait that long!
http://ihateworms.blogspot.com/  - Why then do I so want an allotment?

I'd be tempted, but I think having matching sheds on the same allotment might be a bit weird. ;)

Though, *eee!*, I get to go shed-shopping soon, too. :D
