Images in the Wiki
« on: February 15, 2006, 15:29:05 »
To insert images into the wiki, the procedure as I understand it, is to provide an external link to the image e.g. //http:etc.  I tried this with a photo I have on photobucket and it works quite well.  The problem though as I see it, is what happens if someone who has provide information was to leave, shut down their photobucket site??  I next tried ' pointing ' to a photo that I have on the forum (sweet potato) this shows the path to the photo and if you click on it the actual photo, but you are routed away from the topic.  Try it to see what I mean, go to veg, sweet potato, click on the path.  Any thoughts on how to overcome this??

Mike,

You can upload images to the wiki, when in the wiki, you will see a wiki upload option on the left of the screen.

http://www.allotments4all.co.uk/joomla/component/option,com_mambowiki/Itemid,36/

Supply the information, and upload the file!

The method for referencing uploaded files is described on the upload screen.

Hope that makes sense.

Cheers

Dan

Just learned how to upload my first image onto the Wiki, dead chuffed :) :)
Indian build small fire, keep warm.
White man build big fire - keep warm chopping wood!
