Has anyone been into Home Bargains?  It just occurred to me to mention, after reading the swaps threads, that their price for packets of seed - flowers and veggies - is 15p.  I've bought a few, though I haven't opened any yet.

I'm calling in tomorrow (doing the Poundland/Wilko's/HB sweep) & hope they're selling pea seeds now - great for growing sproutings, I thought?

Netto are selling packets of seeds for 19p each (our local one is anyway)

Just planted sweetcorn, broad beans, green beans, cauliflower and a load of other stuff for next to nothing.

I just read on another forum (MSE) that Woolworths are now selling all packs of their own brand seeds (including multi-packs) for 30p, and Johnson's ones for 60p.

Bear in mind this is hearsay, but probably worth checking out.

Same thread on there also said that Wilko's are now doing half price seeds.

I can't get to either shop till Saturday to check the veracity of these claims, but someone else may be able to.  :)

I was in wilkinsons a few days ago and yes their seeds are half price. Pity they didn't have anything different from what we already have

Also have found out that our local tip has a large tub of gardening tools of every description. Some new, some old and more sturdy, they charge a pound for each item,so its worth a look to see if your local shop, sorry tip do the same!!
