Waggi, I am so pleased your friends have their dog back.  A couple of weeks ago my daughter in law was saying that I shouldn't let our dog out in the garden alone as she had heard that dogs were being stolen and then held to ransom.    :'(

I thought the worst when I read about Eva especially as she was so young and beautiful.  I am really pleased that she is home and very glad that they have caught the people concerned.     ;D ;D

And did the microchipping and tatooing make the difference to her return?? I found a lovely young cat a couple of years ago..demanding to come in and be fed despite my 2 cats objections. Would have kept her willingly if her owners couldn't have been traced. NO microchipping etc. Just can't understand why people don't do it.(Took ages and loads of effort on my side .) Obviously v good news for the responsible owners...very happy for them! ;D

Only just spotted this thread, so glad it has a happy ending, I'm just wishing that the thieves would get neutered. What a relief for the owners, a tight rein from now on I bet.
