Pattypans?
« on: January 29, 2006, 09:57:53 »
A subjective question I know but can anyone describe what pattypan squash tastes like - generally speaking?  I want to put an order through UK Heritage Seeds (thanks to wiki list) out of interest.  I only really need parsnip seeds, but as I'm ordering ... you know how the rest goes  ;D  Many pounds worth later ..... ;D ;D

The closest thing I can think to decribe it to is a yellow courgette. I grew pattypans last year and they produced as prolifically as a courgette as well so couldn't eat them quickly enough.

Oh  :(   Not that fond of courgettes (- though the courgette bread recipe I took off here was nice.)  Maybe not then!
