Admired my garlic and elephant garlic today. I never did find out what variety of garlic I ended up buying, the bin just said seed garlic ... Anyway, I have never really seen such healthy looking garlic, and the elephant garlic looks almost tropical ...

PS ... not added any coffee grounds yet ...

One of the older gents at the allotment said to use tomato feed. Variety I had says high potash feed, also magnesuim and other trace elements which he said could also help.
2 chances in my book, his garlic seems very healthy. Another tip he gave me was to feed my tomatoes with epsom salts, one teaspoon to a gallon of water every other week. Normal tomato feed week between.

Thanks DD, am growing both toms and garlic for the first time on this new plot so will bite the bullet and investigate tom feed :P Always worth listening to the old boys with healthy crops ain't it, this one sounds a bit mystic but worth trying on half the toms to See what Happens ;D

With Epsom, you could try 4oz/gall - & more effective as a foliar feed.

And yes, garlic loves potash.
