Bitten By The Allotment Bug?
« on: January 08, 2006, 22:13:24 »
You know you've been bitten by the Allotment Bug when you take photographs of your newly completed Compost Bin to show people on A4A!  ::);D

Just a little something I threw together before Christmas...  :)

Dave

P.S. I really must remember to get out more... :-[
Sheldon, Birmingham.  I've put the pin on Google Earth where my shed is, in the allotments.  It's in an area with a satellite photo which is cool!  You can't miss it, there's a bl**dy great big Airport next door!

Tis a shame once you are infected.  You are aware there is no known cure....and it only get's worse.  You start getting excited about piles of manure and photographing it, then seeds and seedlings, even pests and diseases start to find there was into your photo albums.  Well, at least you are in the right place, we can all suffer our affliction together.

Nice compost heap bin by the way.....next photos I expect to see it filled!!  ;D

If all us lottie addicts listed all the photos we had published on the web it would probably make interesting (but for us only) reading  ;D

PS nice bins - I cannot claim anything - I only have daleks.

Like yer bins Moot!  I have one of those and find it doesn't heat up as quick as the daleks so I'm going to cover mine with something - not sure what yet  :-\  I want to keep the heat in and not let it out through all those holes.  Probably plastic compost bags as I have loads of em.  Turned inside out and stapled round.  That should do it  :)
I came, I saw, I composted

I have Daleks too - three of them in fact - one ready, one rotting and one filling up. Sometimes they get a bit confused. :-[

Mine get a bit confused despite my best efforts.  Husband drives me nuts as he bungs stuff in any  ;D   Last Feb I put some cow poo in a couple and I checked it on Boxing Day and it's fantastic and no pong.  I have to use it wisely.  I'll be doling it out like gold dust using a teaspoon  ;D  Nah, only kidding.  I think more is best  ;D
