Thank you for the info.... now can anyone tell me how to sharpen an old rusty drawing hoe..will the sand and oil work its magic on my hoe?

I have a stainless steel spade, but find my fork never gets a chance to get rusty ...

My father-in law sharpens the tools for me with a grinding stone.

I recommend something like this - make sure you get a fairly coarse grit for garden tools:
