Important On Google
« on: December 28, 2005, 22:16:16 »
At a women's club I attend the speaker started off by discussing people who felt unimportant because they reckoned they were insignificant in our world. She went on to tell us we were all important in our own ways. Hmm, I thought, this is getting worse, I didn't come here for a self-help session. But then she told us her criterion for importance:

"I am in Google, therefore I am important."

It was a lot funnier in real life, I can assure you!

Anyway, Google for your real name and see what the person in the first hit does for a living. If you ell us don't give us too much information if you wish to keep your real identity hidden!

I suppose if your  first hit is YOU then you must be important!  Anyway mine was a Native American Author - (that will tickle Oz as he is into Native American culture!)
Equality isn't everyone being the same, equality is recognising that being different is normal.

Looks a tad like me tho in the fact that he has dark hair and glasses !! Mind you his dress sense is shocking ;D

The first one I got had his own website www.petermason.com (Digital photographer or summat). I thought I'd try UK only and got the OPEC report with an introduction from Sir Peter Mason who wanted to let everyone know that:-
"Sustainability - or corporate responsibility - is sometimes understood as the narrow environmental and social obligations of a company. To me however, it is a management approach that takes account of the broad and long-term concerns of stakeholders, not just short-term profits. Developing the skills of our people, improving the environment or being invited back to work in a particular community, are just as important as getting planning permission or winning a contract today."

Wow! I am a Professor of Earth Sciences at USC, and also an Expert of Wiltshire Folk Lore.  I have also written a book on Gambling.  My Maiden name had a poem written by Robbie Burns about me, and there is a Transition House for Battered woman named after me too.  Oh! and I also have an online gallery as I am an artist, not bad work, if I say so myself.  ;D busy_lizzie

My married name is an artist - photography and watercolours.

My maiden name - well there was a long list of things that didn't have my whole name, just one bit or the other, and then one person with my maiden name who was found dead in a pond, probably murdered. eek.

Mr Aqui is a windsurfer (he used to be a renowned expert on UFOs!)

My sister is my sister!

Dad is dad

Mum is a secretary for shots (whatever that is).

(can you tell I have no work to do today?!)
gone to pot :D

Delilah and Baggy, you're just too important to be crassly served up on the net....google knows it's whole system would crash due to the sheer volume of information about you both.... :-*
