Silly habits.
« on: December 18, 2005, 15:20:41 »
Am I sad or what?  All the post that I receive (especially this time of the year) I scrutinise the envelopes looking for post codes, looking at the handwriting, anything to give me a clue as to who the enclosed letter/Christmas card is from. Why the hell don't I just open the envelope? ;D

You probably do the same when opening presents. You play the guessing game ...

I hate writing Christmas cards but I so like to receive them. So what's that about?

One of my OH's annoying habits is feeling the presents before he opens them and correctly guessing whats in them - spoilsport,  takes away all the surprise and pleasure.   ;D busy_lizzie

I do think I have a certain amount of will power. There are 11 presents sitting in Charlies wardrobe with my name on(from Lorna) I haven't touched, felt, squeezed or even looked at them How about that??
There are also presents in there with Joshua's name on which Lorna asked me to look after.

Talking of silly habits, Mrs Jimbo, upon hearing a knock at the front door or the phone ringing, always says to me, "Who can that be?" or, "Who's that at this time of night?".

You can guess my response . . .

Ahem Silly girl Lottie.   I told John today that I didn't hear my normal "ding" when he came on line to speak to me. He suggested I turned the sound up on speakers. I had forgotten that when the 'phone rang earlier I had turned  the sound right down  (I had been listening to my music!!)
