Manteca beans
(1/1)
Palustris:
Anyone ever grown these? Lots of stuff on the Web, but mostly American. T.i.a.
john_miller:
An advanced search on google using the exact phrase 'manteca beans' brought up a couple of testimonials from UK gardeners on the TKG forum. It produced less than a dozen references so not much searching is involved. As these are about 6 months old this may be a quicker route than searching their archives.
tim:
Never done it, but isn't it a lot of hassle to grow beans for drying when there are so many on the shelves?
Or is it 'the wind' you're thinking of? - Tim
Palustris:
Thank-you We will Google later.
Hyacinth:
I've just been looking at them in the Marshalls catalogue, Eric. See that 'Prim' is "non-flatulent"...name like that, it would be, wouldn't it?
