Fantastic pic. Glad it isn't in my shed, having said that I have got to clear late husbands workshed out soon. I hate it if they are ABOVE my head.

What a brilliant photo GW - how DO you do it.  You must have a really good camera to take such clear crisp close-ups.

Unfortunately you have reminded me of a job I have been meaning to do and judging by the amount of cobwebs I can see through my shed window I am a little apprehensive of what I might find inside :o
Happy gardening all...........Pat

GW Did you have to do that ::) Changed my mind not going to clear workshed today :) Trouble is my son (45) and a son-in-law (38ish) are both terrified of spiders. My eldes daughter I am sure would pass ou if there was one on her. I am not too bad but as I said hate them being above my head (roof of shed?)

i cleared my spidery corners in my shed last week.  The cobwebs were so thick you could hardly see out of the windows.  Didn't meet the residents though thank goodness  :)
I came, I saw, I composted

Not sure, but  I think it's a garden spider, Greenwizard - cherish it & hopefully it will eat lots of aphids next year!

Hi greenwizard,  Looks like its a Cave Spider the stripey legs and oval abdomen make me think it is....Are you by the coast per chance?....if you are then its a good chance it is a cave spider.

regards

dave
