Snow pea & broccoli salad
« on: November 06, 2005, 22:55:52 »
I don't know if you peeps feel like salad while it's raining but I know you have got the veges.  Tried this last night and it was  a nice surprise.

Snow peas, blanched 1 min.
Just cooked broccoli.
I dropped the whole lot in iced water.  Drain well.
Chopped shallot ( I used spring onions)
seasoning (I used lemon pepper)
Equal amounts of olive oil & cider vinegar.

It was delish.

Had to share. :)
Wish I had an allotment.  I love A4A.

EJ it's still raining here!!

Did have nice weather Friday & Sunday and it looks like rain today :'(

I had to use the last lot of peas.  I think that's it for now.  I have planted the cucumbers on the same trellis so the pea plants are ready to come out any day now. ... Oh, I haven't got the heart to do it. ... But I must!!
