Thanks folk. I meant to mention.. my hairdresser came in the morning (me thinking I was going for a meal) when I arrived at the hall Grandson Joshua insisted on putting a "ribbon" round top of my forehead and round the back of my head....certainly made my hair look different!!!! Georgie TEARS?? I wanted to make a little thankyou speech, broke down in tears twice but after one or two more brandy's I made it. Lorna. :o :o :o ;D

I love the 'ribbon'.  Makes you look a bit like John McEnroe I think.  ;)

Lorna,  you must be a very well loved lady!  Beautiful pics and it looks like a great night - isn't it wonderful when all the generations can be happy together........

Rosebud It was Tuesday (13th) I always told my old Mum thirteen was lucky for her :) I was eigth one of nine, seven still living.. Rest all live (except brother) 100 miles away. When I come back from Brussels,  few days at home then going to Erith Kent to spend a week with sister (83) while her son is in Australia. I am certainly one lucky Mum. Lorna.

What a lovely lovely surprise party Lorna. No wonder you are so chuffed. And I didn't see too many of those (in)famous brandy bottles in evidence.

Beejay. The kids supplied all beer and soft drinks and the guests bought bottles (wine).
Apparently the only bottle of brandy was drunk by me!!!! I found out next morning that Lorna jnr had sneaked in to my dining room and taken MY bottle of brandy. She said no point in us buying one ;D  Amongst my present were FIVE bottles of brandy. The ironic  thing is that I sometimes go weeks without a drink but I do indulge if we have company or go out. All my kids are  more or less teetotal so was their Dad.    Lorna.
