Got one that looked like that (but all over) in our organic box and it tasted just like cauliflower (sorry I do not like cauli so I can only assum that to cauli lovers it was delish)

3 or 4 of mine looked like that earlier in the year. They turned white when cooked and tasted the usual cauli taste.

It's cause is just an excessive production of the pigment anthocyanin Roy. Same as predominates in red cabbage, red kale etc., but is found in most plants to some degree. It's promoted by cooler temperatures as the heads are growing.

Some of my cauliflowers are pink too, but I didn't grow them in vinegar

At least you got some!  Just planted some to overwinter (thanks Dobies) so will see how they go, otherwise I don't think I shall bother again..... :'(

Thanks for that John ;) It sounds like I have been a lucky first time grower of Cauli's, I'm feeling in the pink now ;D
