Mooli radish.  There is a 20p on it, but it is glinting in the autumn sunshine!

These are Moolis which are used a lot in oriental cooking.  Very peppery and grate shredded very very finely and stirfried.  I pull these as I want them, they seem to do fine just left to their own devices, but I do keep an eye on them for slug damage and if they start to look like they are developing a flower stem, then they will be out!  These can get pretty big, as big as my fist, and 6 to 8 inches long.  Red salad radish, like French breakfast need to grow quick, and start to bulb up in weeks.  Pull them as soon as you want them, from as small as a marble to as big as a golf ball, however, the larger they are, the hotter they are, and they can be woody or even hollow!  Better I think to pull salad radish on the smaller side.  Hope all this rambling helps!
