I feel like I have aged about 10 years in the last 7 weeks!! What a brilliant series and played in terrific spirit. Credit to both sides!!! A fantastic day for British sport.

Yes, Well done the lads for bringing the Ashes home after so long!
However:
It seems that the ECB and the Government are stifling the huge boost given to UK cricket by the winning of the Ashes, by ensuring that future Test matches are only available on pay-to-view TV.

Sorry, rant over!

Well done England!
have spent most of the summer hols watching 3 children and OH playing cricket in the garden, on the beach in fact anywhere they can.
What a fantastic way to raise the profile of the gameand get children out there playing it, rather than watching horrendously overpaid football "stars" play a bit of football, and behave like spolit children fighting and swearing etc etc . . . . . . . .
Will be watching the victory tour with a big smile on my face, glass of red will have to wait until a more decent hour! Don't think we'll be celebrating after Germany 2006 somehow?

have just picked up youngest from Nursery and she wanted to know if freddie and Warney will be on the telly again today. Big tantrum when I said no, hopefully there will be some more coverage of the bus tour on to suffice !

Speedymango I'm off to sign the petition. I don't watch much cricket but have had many many years of watching it whilst growing up...my god, when I got married my brother came round to my house in the morning(he was giving me away) and switched the cricket on. The video of moi in all my get up has the sound of cricket playing in the background and the ooohs and ahs are towards the telly not me!!
I may not watch cricket now but the sound of it on the telly is embedded deep within my person.
Did anyone else play that cricket game with the ball bearing, a green mat and was it a bat controlled with a string? You used to pull it back then let it go or something?? Can't remember exactly, but I used to play that with my brother and sadly used to get really into it!
Well done England!

Oi!
Not fair! ;D ;D
I have to admit I'm not overjoyed at the result, but it was a great series, and its so nice to see the profile of the game raised. :)
