Just back from my holiday and was shocked to hear your news Doc. Thank goodness Louie is on the mend now, just let's hope he has no more set-backs. Poor little mite has certainly been through the mill.  :( Let's hope the police do find the person who shot him.

I'm pleased the police are doing something about it Doc. Makes you wonder what else someone like that could do.

How is Louie after the last operation?

Hi guys,

Louie came through yesterday's op just fine.  He's still being fed through his stomach tube, but they hope to remove that over the weekend provided he starts eating normally himself.  We went and visited for half an hour last night and he was wearing a most fetching string elasticated waistcoat (to hold his tubes in), but managed to hobble about a little bit despite his obvious discomfort.  He's got a bit of oedema in his legs due to the lack of protein in his system, but the vets say this is quite normal and they're treating accordingly.  They're still very pleased with his progress and say that we might be able to take him home early next week! ;D

Guys, I have the best news! ;D  We brought Louie home this morning!  He's now residing on the sofa and being hand-fed prawns :D  He still has his stomach tube in and will do for a while yet as a precaution, but he's doing fine.

I'll post a piccie later on! ;D
