Has anyone been to the gardens in Prieure de Salagon near Fourcalquier in southern France? I was reading an american book and the authors had been to the garden (on the 44th parallel?) which grows 15th century stuff. Rampion is a root veg.

No. Next time we go to France for our hols I must spend less time laying in the sun on the beach sipping cold beer whilst the sea laps at my toes and the kids frollic in the briney, and spend more time visiting places of interest. ;D
