It`s the latest "in" term for a personal website, used to show that the author is "with it".

It's a sort of online diary. There's a link to mine in my signature.

Short for weB LOG - a diary.

I used the term incorrectly the other day, but it was a quick way of pointing to my web photo album.

But is it edible?
I travelled to a mystical time zone
but I missed my bed
so I soon came home

It should make your mouth water if you look at it!

I have joined the gardening blog community.
My Tiny Plot (http://www.mytinyplot.co.uk/) is my blog.
Pumpkin Soup (http://allotment.humanlint.com/) is another
Anything but Sprouts (http://anythingbutsprouts.blogspot.com/)
Horticultural (http://perrone.blogs.com/horticultural/)
I could go on...

I find it really helpful to put my thoughts down and upload some digital images so that I can remember what I did and when -  and if other people want to read it too then that's great!

Mine hasn't been updated in ages - have even given up writing down the dates of transplant/sowing now  ::) - I kept a log on my own website, but have blogged for other things - apparently, there is a blogathon.
