What to sow now?
« on: July 25, 2005, 01:06:02 »
I have space now from dug up peas and spuds and wondering what to use the soil for for Winter/maybe early Spring crops?

Also, if I want to plant spuds now for Christmas, any suggestions for which variety & where I can buy 'em?

Over wintering spinach for me, this produced spinach soup for Christmas dinner one year.

Spring cabbage? Overwintering broad beans, you could even get some french beans before the end of summer if you sowed now I think.
Lottie-less until I can afford a house with it's own garden.

Mr Fothergill's online catalogue has 'Charlotte' spuds for 'second cropping'.
