Allotments in West Reading
« on: April 12, 2005, 14:10:29 »
For anyone interested living in West Reading,

there are plenty of plots available at Scours Lane. Its a relatively secure site (well at least until the festival but I'm sure this year will be better). We never get a water ban as water is pumped directly from the Thames water table.

Get down the council now!!!

Hi Bodolph,

My partner and I are interested in starting an allotment, we live off the Oxford Road and our nearest site is Cow Lane but obviously Scours Lane is only a couple of minutes car ride away.

How do you rate the Scours Lane site in comparison to Cow Lane? We have managed to have a wander around the Cow Lane site but have not managed to catch Scours Lane with the gate unlocked.

Having looked at the council website it appears Scours Lane is a more expensive site, do you know why?

I would be very interested in your opinions on the two sites.

thanks in advance

Richard
