Planting sprouts
« on: August 03, 2005, 20:46:38 »
As I was planting my sprouts about an hour ago, a older gentleman came over to offer a bit of advice. He said before I put the plants in, add a inch piece of rhubarb in the hole at the bottom. According to him if club root is around it will leave the plant alone because of the rhubarb.
Has anyone else heard of this or use this as a common practice. ??? ???

Tis a good one for stopping club root.  I know several people on this board have tried it with great success....I have a feeling Doris Pinks and Budgie Breeder both do....
