Hi Tel,

You will need to purchase an adaptor that you fit into the telephone line.  Can't remember how much they cost though - will try and enquire.  ;D ;D
Enjoy today to the full.  You are not sure of a tomorrow.

  Thanks Svea duly noted....now for my next question or problem

   Since getting my broadband I have moved my computer to another place in
   the house now if the phone gets answered or a call is made my internet
   connection is broken (re routed my cable through the attic space ) I am now
   on the verge of pullin my hair out as twice its happened as I have been half
   way through a 1 hour download when someones lifted the phone to make
   or take a call. ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Tel: If your broadband supplier is providing you with a modem - hopefully you signed with one who provides that free- the adaptor should come with the modem so you won't need to buy one.
Jaggythistle: Doesn't sound right to me, are you sure all your connections are right? One of the joys of broadband is being able to take calls without it affecting broadband connection and vice versa. I only had the sort of problem you are describing on dial up.

Jaggy, at the risk of sticking my neck out, are you sure that you have separate filters on both your computer extension and all your phone extensions?
