King Edwards
« on: August 22, 2005, 19:17:46 »
Could not wait two weeks so dug up one King Edward plant today - 2lbs of my favourite maincrop potatoes.  That means I should end up with about a hundred weight.  Tonight for tea I had the best chips I have ever had in my life.  Bit hard on the Kestrels - they were the best chips I had ever had earlier in the summer.

Some of mine are just beginning to turn yellow. They've sprawled all over where I'd planned to build a bit more path this summer, but never mind, the way things have worked out I wouldn't have got it done anyway. You can just about see the end of the brick path at the bottom of the pic, but I've just been clearing the bed next to it and it's got loads of soil obscuring it. At least I got some decent onions off that bed.
